Trip Explanation: Everest View Trekking Route Map
The Everest View Trekking route starts in the bustling city of Kathmandu. Trekkers arriving in Kathmandu will spend another day viewing the capital's prominent landmarks. Visitors on the Kathmandu City tour or the Kathmandu Sightseeing tour can see places like Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and many others.
Only on the following day, after the sightseeing tour, trekkers will catch a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The flight lasts 35 minutes and lands at the Tenzing Hillary Airport of Lukla. Upon reaching Lukla, the official trekking begins. Trekkers go from Lukla to Phakding for their first overnight stay in the Khumbu region.
The following day, trekkers make their way to Namche Bazaar, the most iconic settlement in the Khumbu region. Namche was a trading port for Tibet in the day; however, now it is a vibrant marketplace. Namche has numerous accommodation options, museums, monasteries, pubs and cafes. Similarly, Namche is the first acclimatization stop in the Everest View Trekking itinerary. Trekkers hike up to Everest View Hotel, situated at 3880 meters, and spend some time at a lower oxygen level to adapt to the body. Then, they will return to Namche to prepare for the trek the following day.
On acclimatization day, trekkers move towards Tengboche, another vibrant settlement in the Khumbu region. Tengboche holds a religious significance for the Khumbu people. It is home to the oldest monastery in the Khumbu region, Tengboche Monastery. The monastery is home to only male monks and is a prominent location for the Mani Rimdu festival, an essential festival for those who follow Tibetan Buddhism.
After Tengboche, the following location is Khumjung, which marks the return journey to Everest View Trekking. So, trekkers feel the altitude drop while moving from Tengboche to Khumjung. From Khumjung, the trip untangles to Monjo, which is known for the Sagarmatha National Park Entry Check Post. From Monjo, trekkers move to Lukla for a flight back to Kathmandu; after reaching Kathmandu, the Everest View Trekking 11 Days with Trekking Planner Nepal Pvt. Ltd comes to an end.
