1 Day Dhulikhel Namobuddha Day Hiking

Dhulikhel to Namobuddha day hike leads to pleasant and scenic walk of few hours, a refreshing into cool pristine areas within green woodland of tall rhododendron-pines and fir tree lines with views of distant high Himalayan peaks.

With drive and overnight at Dhulikhel stands at 1,140 m high facing tremendous panorama of mountain range, a small town with more than 500 years of history inhabited mostly by Newar inhabitants a streets lined with bare-brick houses, carved wooden windows, sloping title roofs, pagoda temples and sacred statues.

Morning after breakfast facing views of Himalayan peaks where a short pleasant walk takes you on the back-side of Dhulikhel to reach at famous and sacred Buddhist spot of Namobuddha.

As morning walk starts past rural farm villages with slow gradual pace on winding trails with few ups and down-hill to reach at holy Namobuddha.

A peaceful area renowned, as unsurpassable supreme sacred sites of Three Stupas stands known as Tagmo Lüjin.

Where future Buddha sacrificed his body to a tigress, a very sacred place where perfect and supreme Buddha-at that time still on the path of learning-offered his own body without regret to a tigress suffering from great hunger, rest of the history of this supreme and distinguished sacred site, whose location is unmistaken based on the clear identification given in the Sutra Requested by the Tigress and so forth.

After visiting around its shrines and holy sites with monasteries then head back to Dhulikhel or drive straight to Kathmandu after a great experience on Dhulikhel and Namobuddha day hike.
