Against All Odds - Everest Base Camp
This is my feedback as the organiser of the Everest Base Camp Trek for our group.
After speaking to a number of trek company’s, one stood out, Trekking Planner.
From the beginning, the owner Dipak Lamichhane was very helpful, and answered all my questions and addressed any concerns fully.
From the time we were picked up from the airport to the time we were dropped off, our group was treated like we were part of the family.
Due to the weather, our flight was cancelled to Luckla airport and even helicopters were not able to take us up.
On the third day, when our flight was cancelled again I spoke to Dipak about alternatives and within an hour he had organised a jeep to take us up to Solari from where we could trek up to Everest Base camp the long way around , thereby avoiding flying in to Luckla airport.
This meant reorganising our scheduled completely form the route we was taking to the places we were going to stay during the trek which allowed us to get to EBC.
“Dipak, from the day we arrived you have looked after and we never had to worry about anything.
We knew that the trek was going to be difficult and with your support we were able to achieve our ambitions.
Thank you from our team and more importantly a personal thank you from me.”
As somebody who responded to the Nepal earthquake in 2015, been up Kilimanjaro twice, I would have no hesitation of recommending Trekking Planner Nepal as the company of choice for your visit to Nepal and Dipak Lamichhane for his personal and honest service provided.

Wonderful experience !!!ericpeglionUnited Arab EmiratesSep 10, 201812 Days in Nepal
We are just wrapping up 12 days in Nepal all arranged by Dipak from Trekking Planner. Highlight was 5 day Gorepani Poon Hill trek which although booked as standard departure was just for my wife and. Throughout our stay I have been very impressed by the thoroughness of arrangements and quality or services provided and all at a very low price. Special mention to our trekking guide Dhirendra and porter Aitaram who were great at their jobs and fun to be with. For anyone contemplating a visit to Nepal contact Dipak at trekking planner and let him put it together, you will not be disappointed.
David SAustraliaAug 10, 2018Amazing trip, but full of challenges
"My husband and I had an amazing but super challenging trip to Nepal. Dipak in Kathmandu, and Ganesh, our guide on the mountain, looked after us well, despite lost luggage, missed and delayed flights, my husband having mountain sickness (and being flown back to Kathmandu, then back up to Pheriche to recover until we met him on the way down).
In Nepal, you soon learn that things don't necessarily go to plan, and there are often lots of unknowns, but if you have faith, eventually things tend to turn out ok.
Pros:
Our yoga instructor and guide, Rinchen, was the absolute star of the show - he was honestly the nicest person I've ever met, a very inspiring yogi, one of the fittest people on the mountain, and went out of his way constantly to help us, the locals, other groups, and really anybody he came across.
Whilst separated from my husband, the whole team made us both feel well looked after and safe. It was challenging, but I loved the trek to EBC and all the amazing people we met on the way.
When we finally made it back to Kathmandu (after 2 days of delayed flights from Lukla), we had a really nice room in the hotel, and went out for a lovely meal with Dipak ... it would have been really nice to start the trip with this too, as our first night in Nepal included a very strange experience in a traditional restaurant, with a guide who spoke no English, and left us feeling confused.
Cons:
We did a shorter 11 day trek, which seemed a bit too quick and I genuinely think my husband would have had a better experience if we had taken more time. Heading back down in 3 days was really tough for all of us, especially our guide, Ganesh, who caught a cold/flu, and really wasn't fit enough for the trek."HelenKeatesUnited KingdomAug 01, 2018Manaslu Tsum Valley, Magical World
Dipak from Trekking planner organized a most magical experience for me in the Manaslu Tsum Valley trek. It is always incumbent on yourself to be physically fit and mentally tough to do some of these challenging treks, but it sure helps to have a great trekking company to make sure things goes as smooth as possible. Dipak owner of Trekking Planners treated me with respect and total honesty in all of our dealings. My guide Janu was of excellent character and skill. The entire team was professional and caring.
mcnnelsonFinlandJul 05, 2018Wonderful Annapurna circuit trek!
I have just finished an absolutely amazing trek with Nirmal and Binod in the Annapurna region last week. During the whole journey they looked after me very well and were super fun companions to have around - everyday we shared lots of laughter and stories, just like as if I was trekking with two good friends. They took the effort to teach me sing Nepali songs, as well as lots of useful words because I was eager to improve my knowledge of the language/local culture. Thanks to Dipak and the whole team for organising this wonderful trip and delivering an unforgettable experience that I would always cherish.

Beginning of this year I ‘ve started to plan my trip to Nepal. I wanted to do a trekking tour and also some sightseeing. After some research I decided to do my trekking tour with TREKKING PLANER and this was a really good decision. Dipak (the manager of this company) also help me to plan my sightseeing tour and the only thing I needed to do was to tell him what I want to see and which dates I want to come.
From the first moment when I arrived in Nepal there was always someone taking care of me. I was picked up at the airport, bus stations and so on. During the sightseeing tours in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan I had really nice guides who made this time unforgettable for me. After one week of traveling in Nepal I ‘ve started a trekking tour from Lukla to the Everest Base Camp and the Gokyo Valley including the Cho La Pass. This tour was also perfectly organized and I had the best guide I could imagine. We were always laughing and we had a lot of fun. Most evenings we spent together in the tea houses and it was great to listen to his experience in the mountains.
At the end I think my trip to Nepal could not have been better and I ‘m really thankful to Dipak and his team. If you are thinking about a trip to Nepal and you need some help with the organization I can warmly recommend TREKKING PLANER.
