Annapurna trekking... amazing
I came across trekking planner whilst looking for a new adventure and it was the best thing that could have happened. prior to our arrival in Nepal all correspondence with Trekking planner owner Dipak was prompt and helpful, Dipak was always on hand to manage our plans and we changed plans several times without any problems. Dipak collected us from the airport and ensured we settled into our hotel. He arranged for extra excursions an Everest flight and a stay in the national park (Chitwan). we had a lovely welcome meal and were given all the information for our planned trek.
Throughout the trek we felt safe and cared for by both our guide(Krishna) and porters. During the trek we had to change our plans (due to illness) this was no problem for our guide and he was fully supportive throughout the trek ensure we were happy and well. He spent time explaining our daily itinerary and ensured we had good rooms and plenty to eat during our trek. He was always happy to answer questions and spent time with us offering local information, socialising and playing cards. By the end of our 10 days we had become a family.
The service from trekking planner didn't end there Dipak checked on us during our stay at the national park, met us back in Kathmandu, ensured we were all happy and had enjoyed our trip, arranged transport to the airport and ensured we arrived home safely
the overall service from trekking planner, Dipak, Krishna and our porters was second to none, and I cant recommend Dipak and his company enough I would not hesitate to use his service again in the future.

I recently completed the Everest High Pass Trek with Nepal Trekking Planners and it could not have been a more perfect experience. I highly recommend this company and they catered to every need.
First of the owner Dipak met me at the airport and brought me to my hotel. He even walked me up to the room to make sure it was okay. He was there the next day to introduce me to my guide for the Kathmandu city tour and then walked me to the welcome dinner. He was also there to take me to the airport, and meet me on the way back after finishing the trek. He explained that his priority is the service to his clients rather than having large numbers, and this was evident. He helped me book tickets to my next destination, and even took me to the right trekking stores in Kathmandu to make sure I had everything I needed. Truly an incredible guy.
As far as the trek I was a bit hesitant at first to do it alone (had a great guide, Khila and amazing porter Hare). For me it was the best decision that ever happened because I got to go my pace which ended up being quite quick. I watched as other large companies treated their groups almost like cattle and people had to wait in the cold for 30-45 minutes for everyone to catch up. The great thing about Trekking Planners is they cater the trek to any group size and are very flexible. During the trek I fell in love with Ama Dablam mountain, and my guide Khila allowed us to change the schedule so we could go to basecamp. Also along the way we were able to move around days and for me combine some things to make the days a bit longer since I completed things so quickly.
The ability of a company to cater to their clients and be so flexible is SO IMPORTANT on a trek. Everyone has a different trekking style and Trekking Planners teaches their guides to adjust the trek to 100% satisfy the clients. I had several people along the way say they wish they had known about Trekking Planners and I think there is no better sign than that. Accommodation and meals were always provided for in a timely fashion on the trek and it worked seamlessly.
The actual high pass trek is so incredible it is hard to describe without experiencing it yourself. The high passes can be challenging, but more rewarding for me than Everest Base Camp or any other part. The views are phenomenal for anyone up for a bit of adventure this is the trek for you. It allows you to get away from the crowds for a while, and to feel the beauty of the Himalayas.
nsrourUnited StatesApr 01, 2017Very good trekking
Overall, we had a very nice trek to Khopra Ridge (7 days) with trekking planner. The office organized all the logisitcs well and the itinerary was beautiful. The price was also fair.
Nevertheless, a few things keeps us from giving 5 stars. The english and communication skills of our guide/porter were not so great although they were very nice. We had trouble getting information sometimes and it was irritating to repeat the same questions over and over (where are we going? How long is it to the next village? Should we bring more water? Save our energy?). A guide should be proactive with its guests...and ideally know their first names by day 6.
AnthoCtotheLCanadaApr 01, 2017Three Passes Trek in Everest Region
It was an unforgettable trek in the Everest Region.
Our trekking guide (Narayan) was very knowledgeable about the mountains and spoke fluent English. We spent great time with him discussing our plans for next days and playing cards in the teahouses. In every location we had a room booked and whenever possible it was one of the best rooms available (eg. with private toilet).
We had as well a great porter Tenjin who was always smiling and ready to help.
We highly recommend the trek and Trekking Planner's services.

Trekking Planner is simply the best around. I am honored to have chosen them to fulfill my lifelong dream of seeing Mt Everest. My boyfriend and I chose the Gokyo Ri trek and we were so happy to have trekked with Trekking Planner and the amazing guide Krishna. Dipak, the owner helped us with everything from before we even arrived! We had trouble with cancelled flights and lost luggage - Dipak was there to ensure that we were taken care of and was extremely flexible with our changing plans.
The guides he employs are simply incredible. Krishna, our trekking guide, went above and beyond our wildest expectations. I like to say that we started with a guide and ended with a friend. We would exchange funny stories about our childhood, talk about culture and life in Nepal and America (my home country), play cards, and were well looked after. He ensured we were safe (I fell coming down Gokyo and he was quick on the scene and helped me tend to my bumps and bruises) and did everything in his power to make sure we were comfortable. We had trouble with one of our rooms on the way up, so when we stayed at the same place on the way down he ensured we had a better room.
Most guides are quick to ditch their clients once you arrive in the teahouse, but Krishna took a genuine interest in us. We would hang out and he would tell us all kinds of stories. We even learned some Nepali, including our nicknames Fox (Piyauri) and Squirrel (Lokharke). Krishna ensured we were well acclimatized by taking us on hikes to good viewpoints and other small villages no tourist visits at the various places we stayed. It wasn't uncommon for Krishna to hang out with us in the teahouse and join in with our conversations with other trekkers. People with other guides would lean in close to hear his stories and thoughts.
I will certainly be back to Nepal! There is so much to see and do in this amazing country. If you head to the mountains with Trekking Planner, definitely be sure to request Krishna!
MegUnited StatesMar 05, 2017Amazing Solu-Khumbu to Gokyo Trek!
Trekking Planner facilitated a fabulous 21-day trek for us starting in the Solu-Khumbu - the lower foothill country of the Everest region - up to the high Himalayas of the Gokyo Lakes area. We had an excellent guide -Ganesh- and two fun-loving porters - Purna and Tej. Ganesh was thoughtful and thorough and really ensured a great experience for our family of four while we were on the trek. Everything was taken care of everyday.
Dipak was exceedingly timely in his responses when we were setting the trek up and provided us with several itineraries from which to choose. Ultimately, he helped us tailor a trek just to our needs. Everything went very smoothly and I would highly recommend Dipak's Trekking Planner services to anyone going to Nepal for the first time!

I'm arrived in Kathmandu and I've asked at Dipack (the boss of "Trekking Planner") to organise, for me, my son and my doughter, a fast tour at Chitwan Park, only two days but with all classics activities included, as elephant raid, canoa on the river, jungle walking, etc. After this he has organised a "tailor made" trekking of five days to Poon Hill (panorama of Annapurna) with guide and porter. Everythings was meticulously organised and our trips have been greats! Dipack personally follow all activities every day by phone and he act the eventually changes of the programs, following our requirements.
At the end, Dipack is a kind person and his organisation well done!SkilledbeginnerFinlandJan 25, 2017
