Everest Base Camp Short Trek...difficult hiking but well worth it!
I would highly recommend Trekking Planning for the Everest Base Camp Short Trek. From the time I landed in Kathmandu to my departure flight back to the USA, I was completely "hand held" for my entire excursion. Dipak was with me or had a staff member take care of my needs. I was never left alone to wonder what was coming next! The trip itinerary was complete. And since I had an extra day in Kathmandu before my trek, I was able to pay a reasonable amount of money for a city tour that was complete and very informative. When it was time for me to depart to Lukla, I had complete supervision until I got on the flight which made me feel extremely comfortable. The trek to Base Camp was rather difficult, however my guide and porter took very good care of me throughout the trek. Often I needed some extra help and they were both there to escort and hold onto to me during the technical, difficult sections of the trail. I had some minor issues during the trek, but again, I was reassured by the guide and porter that I would be taken care of. When my flight was severely delayed in leaving Lukla, my guide (Gyelijan) came back to the airport to get me and stay with me for the next 3 days till I was able to secure another form of transportation out of Lukla. I can tell you that just about every other trekker saw their guide just leave them in the airport to fend for themselves! I was so grateful for Gyelijan to take care of my needs during this delay. When I did finally leave Lukla and arrive in Kathmandu, Dipak was waiting for me in the Kathmandu airport with the taxi to take me back to the Skyline Hotel. The other trekkers had to scramble for transportation. I was able to spend a few hours in the hotel before my night flight to USA and once again, Dipak arranged for a taxi to take me to the airport. I would recommend this trek as just about everything is included which makes it a "no brainer" for the client. I did want to worry about paying for lodges, food, airfare, permit fees on the trek and so it was taken care of by the guide.

I did the 'Slow and easy' trek at the Annapurna region with trekking planner, and can confidently say that it was the best experience of my life. I was a bit concerned as a female (not particularly fit) solo traveller, but everything was made so comfortable and effortless by Dipak and his team I almost couldn't believe it. They were waiting for me when I got to the airport and efficiently organised transport and every little detail. They adapted the trip for me, so I could fit a stay in a monastery and the yoga classes which were not originally included in the itinerary. Dipak is really responsive and accommodating, always making sure I had everything I needed for the trip. The yoga classes were amazing, and guides and porters all were really reliable, helpful and kind. I felt safe and spoiled at all times. I highly recommend Trekking planner for their experience and knowledge of the territory, but also for their human qualities. You couldn't be in better hands! Namaste!
Annapurna trekkerGeorgiaJun 03, 2019Stunning 10 days yoga trekking against snow capped Annapurna peaks
A memorable experience trekking from Nayapul to Ghorenpani Poon Hill to Ghandruk . Guide cum porter Suman was helpful, friendly and patient to let us spend some time to take photos He even helped to cook at a remote cafe so that we could get to eat our lunch fast. He was also fun singing and dancing to make the gruelling trek seems less daunting. He also managed our expectations by giving us heads up on the expected hours and varied terrain thru mossy forests', bright red and pink rhododendron trees. Most stunning was the view of snow capped Annapurna peaks . Yoga was conducted by patient soft spoken Dipak who was always accompanying my friend who needed more rest breaks during the trek .
Food quality was very good as it was not oily and not overly choked with seasoning.. i esp luv their veg fried rice which usually comes in a big heap. The hot honey ginger lemon drink was energising and refreshing. Accommodation was clean and hot showers are available either FOC or for a a small token of rupees. Trekking Planner Dipak was friendly and responsive to my booking queries and flexible with the itinerary to suit our needs. He took efforts to meet us when we arrived as well as to see us off at the hotel.
A truly amazing yoga trekking experience!SuanUnited StatesMay 28, 2019Thank you for a wonderful trip to the Himalaya!
I just got back from my 16 day package with Trekking Planner, doing a trek to Gokyo Valley and Renjo La Pass. Dipak and his team did everything to make this a great and super special trip for me, for which I am very thankful. The hotel and sightseeing tour in Kathmandu were very nice and a good start into my vacation. Despite general difficulties with the flights to Lukla, Trekking Planner managed to get me on a helicopter flight for a reasonable price so I could start my trek in time. My guide Suraj was wonderful - fun, knowledgable, and very responsible - and made my experience most memorable. He also paid a lot of attention to my wellbeing in the altitude and the agenda was well balanced so that we would not ascend too quickly. Thus, I felt great throughout the whole trek and enjoyed it very much. Thank you Trekking Planner, I will be back!
LittleBear1702GermanyMay 25, 2019Excellent Company, Fabulous guides and an Awesome trek- Highly recommended
I trekked to Everest base camp with trekking planner a month ago and they made sure that I had an experience of a lifetime. Right from the start, Dipak made the booking process extremely easy and promptly answered all my questions regarding packing and trek. They also took care of all logistics in Kathmandu and arranged a day tour with a well-informed guide. Sudip from trekking planer was an excellent host and took me to a wonderful cultural show.
On the trek, I was helped by Suman Dhakal and Geylu Sherpa. They both were well informed about the nuances of the trek and also of history and culture of people living in the mountains. Above all, they both were super-friendly and in just one day it started to feel like I was hiking with buddies rather than with a tour company. Fourteen days of the trek was an absolute blast with them. I highly recommend trekking with them if they are available. They also took care of safety on the trek and were well equipped to handle medical issues. They were also flexible with trek schedule and found the best places to stay on the trek.
I highly recommend trekking planner for Everest base camp and other treks in Nepal region. And many thanks to Suman and Geylu for such a wonderful company on the trek.

We did the Everest Base Camp trek in April 2019 together with a safari in Chitwan National Park when we returned from trekking. The holiday exceeded expectations from start to finish. Dipak met us at the start and was a constant feature throughout. He was great, very quick to respond and an excellent organiser. The trek was fabulous (no issues whatsoever) and the safari was luxury! Dipak organised hotels in Kathmandu in between which were also of excellent quality. We have nothing bad to say. Excellent trip.

My wife and I did the Everest Base camp short trip in April, 2019. What a great trip! I say this despite the fact that on several key times we had to go to plan B due to weather conditions, etc. First of all, from the very beginning Dipak, the leader of Trekking Planner showed real attention to detail and in promptly answering all of our Qs. All the expectations from the brochure were not only met but we felt were exceeded. Starting with a several hour delay getting thru the airport in Kathmandu, their team was still there to take us our hotel which trekking had arranged-not 5 star but quite nice and centrally located in the city and trekking cultural take off point. Due to construction at the airport (and poor weather) we were given the option of getting to the trekking take off point (Lukla) by helicopter. We opted for this knowing it would add another $600/pp roundtrip but would keep us on schedule. The conditions were so bad that the copter landed about 45 minutes from Lukla but the Trekking Planner guide and porter did find their way and away we went. From then on it was the 2 of us plus the guide, Dhirendra and the porter. What a great team! It is doubtful Dhirendra doesn't know everyone in the tea house cuiture all the way to the top! He proved resourceful and personally quite helpful (helped my wife navigated suspension bridges and at time even took my own day pack to help me make it along the way.). At another point when the tea houses of one location were totally filled he took is a little further and we ended up with a place with a hot shower! To top it off he was very personable and joy to be around which considering how long you are together is so important. Due to physical reasons we needed a helicopter evacuation at the last point. Trekking Planner was able to arrange that as well. On the practical side given the unknowns being able to flex financially is important on this trip. In addition, we took along cold medicine and anti-diarreah meds both of which came in handy. Also be prepared physically. I joked with our guide that there must not be a word in the Nepali language for "swithch-back". So much seemed to be at a 45 degree angel straight up. Still, the beauty of the surrounding did more to take your breath away. Since we were off the trek a couple of days early, Dipak was able to suggest several tours including a couple day visit to the Chitwan national park to view rhinos, elephants, etc. Overall, in addition to doing great on what was stated in the broacher, they were quite good at arranging other tours and even throwing in the unexpected (massage at the end!). Very easy to work with and great attention to detail. Highly recommended.

Dipak (our organizer) is an experienced, proactive, detail-oriented professional. He helped me significantly with a short 3 day trip to Annapurna (with both the drive to Pokhara and the flight back). Most importantly, he helped me organize the entire 12 day trip to base camp Mt. Everest, with an excellent guide, and with very authentic accommodations. At my return, the hotel where I stayed misplaced my luggage (a truly difficult experience). Dipak went an extra mile, and stayed with me for nearly entire day, until my luggage was eventually found.
