Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

On arrival at Kathmandu and Nepal international airport, as you head out look for a play card with your or companies name, where our guide and staff receives you with warm welcome and then than transfer to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu around most happening place at Thamel.

Day 2 : Full day in Kathmandu with leisure tour at places of interest

In Kathmandu for exciting sightseeing tour around places of great interest, morning after breakfast, guide takes you for an hour drive for exciting heritage tour of old Durbar (royal palace and courtyard) square, of historical importance includes Temple and pagoda with terra-cotta old buildings with magnificent statue of various Gods and Goddess, tour around old palace built during reign of Malla period.

After a great time short drive to ancient and Nepal oldest Buddhist monuments of Swayambhunath Stupa, with mystical all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha a scenic and religious site and impressive with views of Kathmandu valley and the city.

From here tour takes on the banks of holy Bagmati River at Pashupatinath Temple, dedicated to lord Shiva, with two tiered golden roof and silver doors. It is famous for its beautiful architecture. It is a center of annual pilgrimage on the day of Maha Shivaratri (birth anniversary of Lord Shiva).

From Pashupatinath walking distance and short drive to reach at Bouddhanath Stupa, a famous Buddhist monument and largest Stupa or Dome in the world.

On this colossal the ancient stupa; with all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha, it is said to have been built by Lichchhavi King Mana Dev in the 5th A.D. It is built on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. The area around also known as Little Tibet due to large number of locals of Tibetan origin resides around with many shops and restaurants that makes one of the interesting part of Bouddhanath.

Day 3 : Drive to Nagarkot Hill 2,100 m with tour of Bhaktapur city and square

Morning after breakfast depart for another exciting day, heading east of Kathmandu city to reach at Bhaktapur a medvial era city and very impressive with many areas to visit of great artistic, culture and historical interest.

After an interesting morning having lunch at Bhaktapur, drive leads above the Kathmandu valley towards rural farm villages at Nagarkot hill, the highest spot of the trip.

Where temperature gets cooler due to its elevation of 2,100 m high facing grand panorama of Himalayan range of peaks with beautiful landscape scenery of hills and valley.

Transfer into best hotel or resort with time to explore this hill town and catch the local traditional life of Nepalese hill people.

Nagarkot a famous and renowned hill station offers stunning sunrise and sunsets over array of snow-capped peaks of Central Himalaya range.

Day 4 : Enjoy sunrise over Himalayan peaks and drive to rafting ‘put in point’ Raft for few hours overnight in River Resort

Morning catch striking sunrise over chain of Himalayan peaks, after breakfast few hour drive takes you at rafting ‘put in point’ on a road-side village and near at the bank of Trisuli River.

Here meet our captain and rafting crews, where our river guide will brief on safety measures and paddling technique and how to stay safe on encountering rapids and bouncy waves.

Lunch depending upon time if it’s early having a picnic downstream on a sandy beach, or before start of rafting.

Enjoy the pleasant scenic float encountering few enjoyable rapids with bouncy waves as you can relax and observe the river side scenery with neat farm terraces and villages, and then slowly ending the day rafting by the bank of Kurintar a small village, by the main highway where lovely resorts located for overnight stop.

Time permitting enjoy ride on a cable car to famous Hindu temple of Manakamana, an interesting spot where hundreds of devotees and pilgrims visits nearly all year round.

Day 5 : Drive to Chitwan with afternoon tour of Tharu native village

Morning travel by private coach or in tourist bus (depending upon the size of the group) with an exciting overland drive on main Kathmandu to Chitwan highway, leading through Himalayan foothills, on reaching at Tadi Bazaar at Chitwan where short drive leads you to your respective hotels within a place called Saura.

On arrival at Chitwan near park premises where hotels are located after checking in with briefing on the jungle activities and programs, after getting refreshed start afternoon activity with short walk to nearby Tharu village, the indigenous tribe of Terai belt, the low and flatland of Nepal. Evening enjoy the dinner with fascinating Tharu (indigenous tribe of southern Terai and Chitwan) cultural dance.

Day 6 : Full day wild-life safari on elephant backs with other jungle activities

Program and activities begins early before breakfast, walk to elephant platform for the ride on elephant backs leading you into dense jungle to witness wildlife in its natural habitat. Other activities includes visit of elephant stables and elephant bathing and briefing. After lunch drive into the jungles as well ride on a dug-out canoe floating on Rapti River where you can see fresh water Gangetic Gharial and Mugger crocodiles, if lucky including fresh water dolphins, and otters.

Jungle activities:

Morning Bird Watch Tour, Machan (Watch Tower) Tour, Jungle walks, nature walks, elephant and jeep safari with elephant briefing and bathing elephants include more with entertainment of local Tharu cultural programs.

Day 7 : Drive to Pokhara 860 m with afternoon at leisure

Morning options for nature tour or bird-watching of an hour or more and then having breakfast in the jungle lodge, depart for Pokhara on an exciting highway following the Trisuli River for some hours, and then head due west with grand views of Manaslu, Lamjung and Annapurna Himalaya mountain range, as you arrive in beautiful Pokhara, by the famous Phewa lakeside.

Where most hotels are situated, after checking into your rooms with time to browse around the lake side, full of shops, stores and restaurants.

Day 8 : Drive to Dhampus and trek to Tolka 1,620 m - 05 hrs

Morning after a hearty breakfast, depart from the hotel for short drive on the outskirt of Pokhara and its scenic valley, facing tremendous views of Annapurna peaks with majestic Machhapuchare Himal, the famous Fish-Tail.

Slowly drive takes you uphill through rural farm villages to reach on a ridge top at Dhampus, a nice farm village populated by Gurung people the main hill tribe of Nepal and Mid-West Himalaya.

Enjoy grand panorama from Dhampus, as our walk begins following on gradual path into cool shade of forest, facing constant views of snow-peaks with slow climb to a nice village of Potana, as air gets cooler from here on.

Walk takes you into nice serene forest lined with oaks, rhododendron and pines to reach Deurali hill top at 2,050 m, the highest point of the trek after Nagarkot.

From here enjoying the surrounding panorama of Himalayan peaks, descend to a small farm area and then on winding trail, with few short ups and down to reach overnight stop at Tolka village.

A lovely village with grand close views of Annapurna South and Huichuli peaks, with time in the afternoon to explore around this nice farm village.

Day 9 : Trek to Ghandruk village 1,970 m via Landruk - 05 hrs

From Tolka a short descend and over a bridge, and then on nice winding trail to reach a large village at Landruk, from here head downhill to raging Modi River fed from the glaciers of massive Annapurna range, that starts from Annapurna base camp and scenic sanctuary.

On crossing a steady metal bridge walk into small farm village, where steep climb begins walking on well paved stone steps to reach the high ridge of Ghandruk, and then gradual climb to reach at Ghandruk village.

Ghandruk one of the largest Gurung village around and as the well the gateway to many exciting treks and adventure around Annapurna Himalaya.

Day 10 : Rest day and explore Ghandruk Gurung large village

A perfect spot to relax facing outmost views of Annapurna peaks, with ample time to explore this nice Gurung village, to witness the culture of age old heritage farm life and visit small and interesting Gurung museum along with views of Annapurna peaks.

Day 11 : Walk and drive back to Pokhara afternoon at leisure.

Morning walk to reach beautiful Pokhara and the last final day of walking adventure, where trail follows downhill past small farm areas of Kimche to reach near by the River Modi at Syali Bazaar then on good path to board in a vehicle where drive takes you to Bhirethati and Nayapul town.

After Nayapul uphill to Kande and Lumle village (Nepal’s highest rainfall zone) then downhill to Pokhara, after a most enjoyable and scenic time on the scenic hills in the close shade of massive Annapurna Himalaya.

At Pokhara enjoy leisure walks and explore the market place with time for boating or short tour around Pokhara.

Day 12 : Drive or fly back to Kathmandu a short 30 mins scenic flight

Depart from the hotel for an interesting drive to reach Kathmandu by afternoon time with lunch on the roadside nice restaurants, as drive leads on the same busy highway to reach at Kathmandu for last overnight in Nepal.

Option for short scenic flight from Pokhara, where you can enjoy unparalleled views of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh and Langtang Himal as you land at Kathmandu airport, and then transfer to your hotel.

Day 13 : International Departure homeward bound

Last day in Nepal with memorable times and experience on Himalaya, as time for your international flight and then depart from the hotel, where our staff and guide transfers you for your flight homeward bound.
